Hack List
- Schedule Your Time Wisely: Make the most of your day by blocking out dedicated time for focus and relaxation. No more juggling multiple tasks at once!
- Use a “Stop Doing” List: Identify tasks that waste your time and energy, and let them go! Free up mental space and get back to what truly matters.
- Batch Similar Tasks Together: Group similar tasks, like checking emails or making phone calls, and complete them in one session. Efficient!
- Take Care of Your Tech: Regularly clean and update your devices to avoid wasting time on glitches and slow performance.
- Practice the 2-Minute Rule: If a task can be done in less than 2 minutes, do it immediately! No more procrastination.
- Use Music to Boost Productivity: Listen to music that helps you focus and stay energized throughout the day.
- Prioritize Self-Care: Make time for activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul – a happy you is a productive you!
Favorite Pick
My favorite hack from this list has got to be using a “Stop Doing” List! Letting go of tasks that drain our energy is liberating. By focusing on what truly matters, we can achieve more in less time.
Bonus Tip
Hack of the Week: Try implementing a 5-minute rule: whenever you feel stressed or overwhelmed, take a 5-minute break to stretch, breathe deeply, or practice a quick meditation. Refresh your mind and come back to tasks with renewed energy!

Need a Non-Gift Gift? Try a DIY Health Retreat
Want a unique gift idea that’s not only thoughtful but also fun? Consider hosting a DIY health retreat with friends! This year, my group and I decided to ditch the usual gift exchange and focus on nourishing our minds, bodies, and souls. Here’s how we did it:
- We committed to one evening, then one day until 4:00, scheduled after Christmas and before New Years.
- Each person was responsible for one hour or more of the schedule, which usually took the form of a lecture followed by an activity.
- We made liberal use of YouTube on the TV – Yoga with Adrienne, guided meditation, and breath work – and some second location field trips, like the community rec center and a nearby forest for a forest bathing walk.
- Two people generously covered dinner and lunch as part of their presentation (benefits of plant-based diet and how to customize Buddha bowls), but you could also take up a modest collection to cover food.
- One person hosted in the evening and a different person hosted for the next day.
- People were encouraged to leave their phones in the communal charger, unless they were needed for an activity.
It was really fun to have a space and time dedicated to just hanging out with each other. You could create whatever restrictions would benefit your group. This year, we’re thinking about making one day a silent retreat. Try it out and see what works best for you!
